A 10-tonne plane carrying humanitarian aid from the United Arab Emirates to fight the coronavirus pandemic arrived at Skopje airport today. North Macedonia received almost 1,500 packages of medical equipment for the protection of medical personnel. The value of the aid is estimated to more than 1.5m euros. The aid is part of the Emirates Aid program (EMIRATES AID – COVID19 GLOBAL RESPONSE) under the supervision of the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The assistance was provided by the International Aid Department of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the direction of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE.
