The Assembly will approve on Monday the budget for year 2021. After more than two weeks of discussions, MPs will approve one financial law for Albania, which will be focused on two main issues, facing the pandemic and reconstruction.
The Ministry of Health budget has increased by 2.2 billion ALL reaching a total of 70 billion ALL. Most of this money will go to reimbursing medicines used for the pandemic.
Oil workers will also have a special voice in the 2021 finances. After reaching an agreement with the government, 560 million ALL from the budget will serve as a salary fund for the oil workers for a period of 12 months.
The government’s expectations for the 2021 budget is estimated to reach 483 billion ALL, a sum which seems quite ambitious considering the negative effects that the COVID-19 pandemic could have on the economy.
