The Dutch embassy described the information that the Netherlands supported Bulgaria in blocking Northern Macedonia for the start of EU membership negotiations as false news and misinformation, reports Zhurnal.
“The Netherlands has assessed and still assesses that Northern Macedonia has made good progress and that the intergovernmental conference can be held immediately after the negotiation framework is approved,” reads the reaction of the Dutch Embassy in Skopje.
Otherwise, today the Bulgarian newspaper “24 casa”, citing diplomatic sources in Brussels, published a news item stating that Denmark and the Netherlands are the two countries that joined the Bulgarian veto on Northern Macedonia.
