The situation with Covid-19 is critical, while the hospitals are already meeting all the capacities, said yesterday the Minister of Health Venko Filipce, appealing to the citizens to respect the measures for protection from the coronavirus.
According to yesterday’s medical bulletin, a total of 973 patients or suspected patients with Kovid-19 were hospitalized in the country’s hospitals. Due to the growing number of newly infected patients who need hospitalization, from Saturday patients with Kovid-19 began to receive internal clinics of the Clinical Center in Skopje, where there are 150 beds.
As the Ministry of Health informed yesterday in the last 24 hours 2667 tests of Kovid-19 have been done, with which 978 new cases have been registered. At the same time, the Institute of Public Health has registered 24 cured patients, while 26 people infected with Covid-19 have died.
With these latest numbers the total number of people diagnosed with covid in the country since the beginning of the epidemic is 39760, the number of cured patients is 23035, the number of victims is 1136, while the number of active cases is 15589.
The Minister of Health in the message to the citizens warned that before us is surely the most difficult period in dealing with the pandemic with Kovid-19.
“I demand that we all be maximally responsible and aware of the seriousness of the situation. The virus is widespread. The slightest negligence or non-observance of protective measures can mean infection. We need support now more than ever in the last eight months. “What we are looking for as health workers is really little – just to protect your health,” said Minister Filipce.
