Health authorities expect the current restrictions to work, although the trend of increasing the number of Covid-19 infections continues. The situation is being closely monitored and will depend on the epidemiological situation if new measures are taken.
916 patients with Kovid-19 are treated in infectious wards in Skopje and in hospitals in other cities. A total of 350 people suspected and confirmed with Kovid-19 are being treated in infectious wards in the capital. A total of 566 patients are being treated in covid centers in hospitals in other cities.
Meanwhile, there are about 280 free hospital beds in covid centers. A modular hospital has been opened within the Infectious Diseases Clinic with an additional number of beds. All infectious wards have an oxygen supply and can care for patients in need of oxygen support.
Even the Minister of Health, Venko Filipçe yesterday assured that there are free beds in every public health institution, underlining that there is a plan if the capacities are filled, he believes that the current measures will give results and that in ten days there will be a change of epidemiological overview.
